Angkor Wat and Bayon

We saw Angkor Wat at sunrise. It was serene.  I ate two mangos there for breakfast.

Next we went to Bayon–the temple with 216 giant stone faces.

Then we went to Preah Khan. It was quiet there–no hawkers inside. And I could walk around for a while inside without seeing anyone. It was the only temple so far where someone could have solitude to meditate.

We ended our tour at Phnom Bakheng. Phnom Bakheng sits upon on mountain overlooking Angkor Wat. Therefore, it’s a great place to come for sunset.

A young woman dislocated her right knee, while coming down the steep, narrow stairs of the temple.  She got down to the ground okay, and then sat on a rock–her leg ajar from the knee down. A crowd grew around her. Finally, someone shouted, let me in! Let me in!

A man knelt beside the woman. He put his hands on her knee. He asked her how she felt and her history with that knee. She said it hurt a little and she and no history of dislocations.

A few people murmured to each other, “Is he a doctor?”

Finally he dispelled any doubt, “I’m a doctor.”

He applied force to her knee for about 15 seconds. Finally, it popped in. Everyone cheered! It was awesome.  She was able to walk again, although the savior advised her to see a doctor for further inspection.

This is when travel insurance comes in handy. If you ever get injured or sick while abroad, you’ll want to travel insurance to cover medical costs.  I recommend World Nomads travel insurance. They’re popular and well-priced.

You can handle everything online with them. For example, enter your bank account info on their website, and they’ll deposit claim money directly into your bank account.  Now that’s convenient.

Use World Nomads on your next foreign travels.
